چکیده

Abstract Many dynamic systems containing a large number of modes can benefit from adaptive control techniques, which are well suited to applications that have unknown parameters and poorly known operating conditions. In this paper, we focus on a direct adapti ve control approach that has been extended to handle adaptive rejection of persistent disturbances. We extend this adaptive control theory to accommodate problematic modal subsystems of a plant that inhibit the adaptive controller by causing the open-loop plant to be non-minimum phase. We will modify the adaptive controller with a Residual Mode Filter (RMF) to compensate for problematic modal subsystems, thereby allowing the system to satisfy the requirements for the adapti ve controller to have guaranteed convergence and bounded gains. This paper will be divided into two parts. Here in Part I we will review the basic adaptive control approach and introduce the primary ideas. In Part II, we will present the RMF methodology and complete the proofs of all our results. Also, we will apply the above theoretical results to a simple flexible structure example to illustrate the behavior with and without the residual mode filter.

Perfect Tracking of Supercavitating Non-minimum Phase Vehicles Using a New Robust and Adaptive Parameter-optimal Iterative Learning Control

In this manuscript, a new method is proposed to provide a perfect tracking of the supercavitation system based on a new two-state model. The tracking of the pitch rate and angle of attack for fin and cavitator input is of the aim. The pitch rate of the supercavitation with respect to fin angle is found as a non-minimum phase behavior. This effect reduces the speed of command pitch rate. Control...

Fault Diagnosis for Non - minimum Phase Systems using X m Optimization

Analysis and design algorithms for residual generators for non minimum phase systems are given. It is shown that Rm optimization of residual generators applied directly to systems including non m i n i u m phase zeros can be very conservative. To remove this conservatism in the H, optimization of the residual generators, a factorization of the non minimum phase system into a minimum phase part ...

An Adaptive Output Feedback Control Methodology for Non-Minimum Phase Systems (I)

A method of output feedback design of an adaptive controller is presented that can be used to augment a fixed-gain linear controller. The key feature is that it is applicable to non-minimum phase nonlinear systems, having both parametric uncertainty and unmodeled dynamics. Ultimate boundedness of error signals can be shown using Lyapunov’s direct method. An example is provided to illustrate the...

Adaptive fuzzy pole placement for stabilization of non-linear systems

A new approach for pole placement of nonlinear systems using state feedback and fuzzy system is proposed. We use a new online fuzzy training method to identify and to obtain a fuzzy model for the unknown nonlinear system using only the system input and output. Then, we linearized this identified model at each sampling time to have an approximate linear time varying system. In order to stabilize...

Desing And Implementation of Adaptive Active Filters for Exact Estimation And Elimination of AC Network Distortions

In recent years, active filters have been considered and developed for elimation of harmonics in power networks. Comparing with passive, they are smaller and have better compensating characteristics and resistance to line distortions. In this paper, a novel idea based on adaptive filter theory in presented to develop an active filter to eliminate the distortions of an arbitrary signal. Using th...
